This new film from the Batman universe about the origins of the evil Joker, the mythical villain of DC Comics.

The Joker is Batman’s main archenemy and one of today’s most famous villains. Despite being one of the favorites of comic book fans, the origin of this disturbed character is many mysteries.
The first time its author, Jerry Robinson, presented his Joker’s designs, they ended up being rejected. At that time, DC Comics’ executives believed that there was no point in having a villain with a clown’s face.
Later, however, Jerry Robinson’s idea was finally approved. Thus one of the most iconic characters of all time was born!

The Joker appeared in the comics without any explanation or story about its origin. His debut was in Batman No. 1 (1940), where the character was presented as just another villain.
In Alan Moore and Brian Bolland’s acclaimed graphic novel The Killing Joke, where the Joker is the main character, there was an attempt to give a story of origin to the Clown of Crime.
In this story, the Joker is portrayed as a former employee of a chemical factory who decides to quit his job to pursue a comedian career.

However, his career in the world of comedy fails miserably, so to support his wife, who was pregnant with their first child, he decides to join a group of criminals who intended to raid the factory where he had previously worked.
To avoid being recognized during the robbery, the ex-mediator disguises himself as a Red Hood (another famous DC character).

However, before proceeding with the robbery, he receives the news that his wife has died, as well as the unborn baby.
The criminals, however, manage to convince him to continue with the assault. During the assault, things do not turn out as planned, and Batman appears to capture the criminals.
It is at that moment that the future Joker stumbles and ends up falling into a chemical pit. As a result, his hair turns green, and his skin turns white, like that of a porcelain doll.

Unable to deal with so many misfortunes, the nervous exhaustion leads him to lose his sanity, thus causing the Joker’s birth!
Despite this being the most popular origin story among fans, DC Comics doesn’t recognize it as the official version of the character’s creation.
