Bees are hymenopteran insects (meaning wings with membranes). They do not have a specific location in the taxonomic categories and belong to the Apoidea superfamily.
Their scientific name is Anthophila, comes from wasps, and is distributed in all parts of the world except Antarctica. Today, you can see the bee animated images on this page.

The bee is an insect. Like most animals, insects also live, as a rule, on their own. Individuals of the same species behave, by instinct, in the same way.
But this is the only thing (apart, of course, from physiological characteristics) that they almost always have in common.
But there are exceptions, represented by those considered social insects: bees, ants, termites, and some species of wasps.
Bees are insects that live in perfectly organized societies in which each member has a specific mission that never varies during its short life.
Of all social insects, bees are the most interesting and useful to man. As we know, they produce a viscous, sugary, and very nutritious substance called honey.
To obtain this product, man has bred and protected them with yearning since the most remote antiquity. Apart from being a nutritious food, honey has extraordinary health properties.
The pollinating action of honey bees is fundamental for the environment since it allows plants to multiply.
Curiously, this specimen can see all colors except red, and its smell is ideal for finding the flowers. It rests on approximately 100 buds during its harvesting journey, and the process is called symbiosis.
They are kept in sync through a “dance” that tells them the flowers’ direction and distance. Contrary to what is thought, they are not born knowing how to make honey. Those with more experience teach the younger ones.
Beeswax is produced through eight pairs of glands placed in the lower part of their abdomen. They must consume up to 20 pounds of honey to produce each pound of wax.
Up to 80,000 bees and a queen live in one hive. This habitat has a distinctive smell that identifies its members. It is composed of hexagonal cells, with walls two inches thick, which support 25 times its weight.
In the winter, they eat the honey they gather during the hot season. All honey bee colony members undergo a metamorphosis: they pass through egg, larva, and pupa before becoming adults.
Workers born in the fall remain until spring, while those born in the summer last six weeks. Drones appear in April or May and live until August. If they do not die, they are killed by workers.
Bees are the most organized insects in the animal world, and this is due to the distribution of their tasks. They all work and cooperate to form their swarm.
