Airbus Coloring Pages

Each airline is free to name its aircraft as it wishes, but manufacturers have a precise nomenclature for each type of aircraft leaving their factories.

It is a scheme that has been in place for a century and that Airbus and Boeing still maintain. You can get the coloring pages of an airbus here. Happy coloring.

What is Airbus

Airbus is the world’s leading aeronautical company. Created in 1970 as a consortium of several European companies, joined by the Spanish CASA a year later, 2001 it is a company headquartered in Toulouse, France.

Its most ambitious project is the A380, the largest commercial aircraft globally, with two complete decks and a capacity for more than 800 passengers.

Airbus began its production line with the A300, the first twin-engine twin-aisle aircraft. Then, Airbus launched the 320. It is the first commercial aircraft to use a fly-by-wire control system.

The A320 was, and remains, a major commercial success. The A318 and A319 are smaller versions of the same model, while the A321 is the extended-capacity version.

Under the Airbus Corporate Jets designation, some A319s are destined for the corporate business jet market. The A320’s main competitor is the Boeing 737.

Airbus also went on to supply parts and service for the supersonic Concorde commercial jetliner. However, this aircraft suffered a drop in travel following the crash of Air France Flight 4590 in July 2000. This circumstance, coupled with rising maintenance costs, precipitated the retirement of this aircraft.

Based in Blagnac, a district of Toulouse (France) where the airport of the capital of Occitania is located, Airbus is the world’s leading aircraft manufacturer.

Its production and manufacturing facilities are located in France, Germany, Spain, China, the United Kingdom, and even the United States. The other aeronautical manufacturing giant and direct competitor, Boeing, reign supreme.

The European company designed, manufactured, and still markets the world’s largest airliner, the Airbus A380, and launched the first passenger aircraft with a fly-by-wire system, the Airbus A320-910.

It employs 63,000 people in France, Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom. The final assembly takes place in Toulouse, France; Hamburg, Germany; Seville, Spain; and, since 2009, in Tianjin, China, forming a joint venture with a consortium of Chinese aeronautical companies.

In September 2015, Airbus put its peculiar “pike in Flanders” by inaugurating in the United States, the unquestionable fiefdom of its most direct rival, Boeing, an assembly factory.

They are located in Mobile (Alabama). The first aircraft from this plant was delivered to the US airline JetBlue in April 2016.

Today Airbus, together with Boeing, shares 50/50 in the global duopoly that dominates commercial aircraft production.
