What is Lamborghini?

The founder of the brand, Ferruccio Lamborghini, soon became a millionaire, and among his whims were some luxury vehicles such as Ferraris.

His many problems with some of these units caused him to contact Enzo Ferrari to tell him of his discomfort, which led to a silly discussion from which Ferruccio Lamborghini then considered the idea of producing automobiles.

In the mid 60’s, Lamborghini already had ready its first sports car with which to stand up to the Ferrari of the time: the Miura. 

During the first decade of existence, the company achieved enormous success with its models, but the economic crisis of 1973, and the oil crisis, ended up bankrupting the company in 1978.

During the following years, Lamborghini passed from one hand to another until 1998, when it became part of the Volkswagen Group, a situation still in place today.

In addition to high-performance sports cars with coupe and cabriolet bodies, Lamborghini manufactured a limited series of SUVs in the 80s called LM. Their shapes and characteristics could be comparable to the Hummer.

Many of them related to the world of bullfighting. It is currently an internationally recognized firm, even in those countries where it is not present.
