A Brief Story of Wizard of Oz
The story “The Wizard of Oz” has Dorothy, a young girl living in Kansas as its heroine. During a storm, she finds herself transported to the land of Oz.
To return home, she must meet a powerful magician. She meets The Scarecrow, The Tin Man, and The Cowardly Lion on her way.
Dorothy then meets the Munchkins, the happy little people of the country, whom she has just freed from the dictatorship of the terrible witch.
In Munchkinland, Dorothy also meets Glinda, the Good Witch of the North, and the Wicked Witch of the West, who comes to claim the magic shoes of the dead witch.
Unfortunately, Dorothy has already taken possession of them. The witch then cries out for vengeance against her and her dog Toto.
After a few songs, Dorothy takes the yellow brick road to ask the Wizard of Oz in the Emerald City to send her home to Kansas.
On the road, she successively meets a scarecrow in need of brains, a tin man in the condition of heart, and a lion in lack of courage.
All three accompany Dorothy to the Emerald City, hoping that the Wizard of Oz will alleviate their respective handicaps.
But the Wicked Witch of the West is not counting on the Wicked Witch of the West, who has a grudge against Dorothy.
All of this cheerful and unlikely crew will eventually meet the Wizard of Oz through many ups and downs and get what he came.
All three also want to meet the magician. The Scarecrow wants to ask him for a brain, The Tin Man for a heart, and The Cowardly Lion for courage.
Before granting their wishes, the Wizard of Oz demands that Dorothy and her four friends bring the Wicked Witch’s broom back from the West.
