A Brief Story of Phineas and Ferb

Phineas and Ferb invent something new to fill the day with every day, so boredom never sets in. Their actions are building roller coasters in their backyard, finding a mummy, climbing the Eiffel Tower. 

On the other hand, their sister Candace is the stereotype of a teenage girl and is not at all happy with her brothers’ creative ideas. 

Consequently, in almost every episode, Candace tries to get her mother to come and watch Phineas and Ferb’s antics to stop the boys’ ideas. 

However, when the mother finally gives in to Candace’s clamoring and goes home to assess the situation for herself, there is nothing to indicate that Phineas and Ferb had been engaging in those (obviously forbidden by mother) activities fraction earlier. 

Phineas and Ferb have a platypus named Perry as a pet. Unbeknownst to them, he is a secret agent. His job is to stop the shady practices of the evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz. 

In addition to the primary storyline about Phineas and Ferb’s plans, each episode also features a second storyline about Perry’s fight with Dr. Doofenshmirtz. 

The two storylines are intertwined, so events from one storyline affect the other. Perry suddenly reappears as a pet at the end of an episode without his characteristic hat. 

The evil machines built by Dr. Doofenshmirtz are often the cause of Phineas and Ferb’s plans not being seen by their mother.
