On October 10th, 2014, it was officially announced that Tokyo Ghoul would have a second season by January 2015 after the official Japanese website told it and eliminated it within a few hours.
The story tells about mysterious murders are committed by Ghouls, unknown beings who eat human flesh.
One day Kaneki Ken, a 19-year-old university student, meets a girl in a restaurant and invites him.
Kaneki is a college student who receives a transplanted organ from a dead ghoul, Rize, who tried to eat it before being accidentally crushed to death by fallen beams from a building.
After the operation, he develops tendencies and characteristics typical of ghouls, which causes his rationality to decline.
As a half-ghoul and half-human, she struggles to keep her ghoul identity secret, permanently in conflict with it, while trying to continue living as an average human.
Later he begins to work as a waiter at the Anteiku under the guidance of Yoshimura.
After his fight with Amon, he wins the nickname “Patchy Eye” due to his mask’s design and gets some fame after being seen by a ghoul when he defeated Amon.
He loves to read and is usually quiet and reserved. He has a bad habit of relying too much on strangers, which sometimes puts him in high-risk situations.
After a seemingly pleasant date, Kaneki offers to take her home, but he is attacked by the girl, who turns out to be a Ghoul upon entering an alleyway.
During the attack, Kaneki is saved by accidentally falling beams that kill the ghoul before killing him but leaving him wounded.
Due to his injuries’ severity, he receives an emergency organ transplant from the dead girl because the doctors do not know the girl’s Ghoul identity.
Kaneki ends up becoming a hybrid human-ghoul being, and from now on, he must live hiding from humans and some enemy ghouls.
