Zombies are among the most feared monsters in horror movies. Today you can see them in the following zombie animated images below.
The best-known example may be the Survival Horror video game saga, Resident Evil, which explains its origin from many types of viruses, the best known is the T virus.

It was causing diseases and genetic changes to humans as an organic failure, brain death, loss of skin layers, and even cannibalism, among others, in addition to an apparent more excellent resistance to any attack.
Zombie cinema is a subgenre of horror cinema, often framed within Class B (low budget cinema, with beginner, unrecognized, or declining actors), but with a comprehensive representation of films throughout history.
As an independent genre, it has its conventions, of which the only fundamental one is the presence of the “undead” or zombies. Its leading and best-known creator is George A. Romero.
Another case of zombies in popular culture is the Marvel Zombies comic book series by Marvel Comics.
Another example would be the manga Highschool of the Dead based on a zombie holocaust. Likewise, the light manga/novel Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? has a zombie as the main character.
They also make an appearance in the Thriller Bark saga, from the Japanese series One Piece and the saga The Walking Dead, from Image Comics.
Also, the Tao family (Shaman King) used zombies as an army. Again, in Hellsing’s manga, level 1 vampires, when sucking a human’s blood, turn them into the living dead.
In DC Comics, Solomon Grundy’s character stands out, a type of zombie of significant dimensions; a dead man revived from superhuman strength and with the ability to return from the dead again and again.
Many publishers have published short stories involving zombies of some kind (either created by magic or by some “scientific” cause).
Interestingly, during the 70’s the Comics Code Authority banned the use of the word “zombie”, with Marvel Comics using the name “zuvembies” to designate people with zombie-like characteristics who were used as servants by Haitian supervillains.
One of the most remembered appearances of zombies on television is the video Thriller, by Michael Jackson in 1983, where zombies appear dancing with the singer.
This scene has received many tributes and has become an essential image of mass popular culture in general.
Zombies have also appeared in special chapters of series such as The Simpsons, South Park, and Invader Zim.
In 2010, AMC released The Walking Dead, a series that takes place during a zombie apocalypse. After a coma, the protagonist wakes up to find himself inside a hospital, alone, in a city where only the living dead remain.
A Japanese anime series is known worldwide, Highschool of the Dead was reproduced in late 2011 in Hispanic America, America, and Asia.
